Tri-Color Moss Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket PATTERN (English only)©
The Tri-Color Moss Stitch Crochet Baby Blanket is an instant download for a PDF PATTERN for a crochet blanket (NOT the blanket itself or a physical copy of the pattern!).
The pattern is written in English only and uses US terms.
Due to the nature of digital products I do not offer refunds on patterns. All sales are final.
This blanket pattern is extremely beginner friendly because Moss Stitch (aka Linen Stitch) is made up of only single crochets and chains. It's also perfect for seasoned crocheters who are looking to relax and unwind with a simple and mindless stitch. While the stitch is simple, the results are stunning, creating a solid, reversible fabric with beautiful drape and loads of visual interest. The blanket is lightweight but warm, with a timeless and classic feel.
I include a hack in the pattern to help keep the number of ends that need to be woven in to a minimum.
The pattern is for one size only, but I include the stitch multiple so that if you want to adjust for a different size you can do that.
These two blankets are made with two different brands of yarn, and even though they are both 4/medium weight, 100% acrylic they feel very different from each other and work up very differently as well. Because of this, the hook size, starting chain, total number of rows, and total yardage are different for each blanket so that the final size is about the same.
Materials info:
Blanket 1:
*size I (5.5mm) hook
*Hobby Lobby's Yarn Bee Soft & Sleek
(4/medium weight, 5oz/142g, 232yd/213m, 100% low pill acrylic)
A) Sage (2 skeins)
B) Ivory (2 skeins)
C) Purple Haze (2 skeins)
gauge: 14 st x 13 rows = 4 sq in/10 sq cm
Blanket 2:
*size H (5.0mm) hook
*Hobby Lobby's Yarn Bee Soft Secret
(4/medium weight, 6oz/170g, 300yd/275m, 100% acrylic)
A) Taupe (1 skein)
B) Ivory (2 skeins)
C) Dusty Teal (1 skein)
(NOTE: I used nearly all of 1 skein of each color for the body of the blanket. I would go ahead and get 2 skeins of color A and C just to be sure you have enough yarn.)
gauge: 15 st x 14 rows = 4 sq in/10 sq cm
Both finished blankets measure about 32" x 38" (81.3cm x 96.5cm).
This pattern is the copyright of Stacy Narrin and no part of it (written or photographs) may be copied or sold. However, you may sell the finished blanket you've made from the pattern as well as share pictures of YOUR blanket to social media. I just ask that you please give me credit for the pattern.
